Jaja Finance breaks into the near-prime credit card space
- Jaja Finance opens-up direct applications for near-prime customers for the very first time
- Near-prime borrowers to get more options
- New Jaja Vanta Purchase Credit Card to give consumers back their purchasing power
8 November 2023: Jaja Finance (“Jaja”) has opened up to applications from new customers to bring more competition and choice to the near-prime lending market, giving UK borrowers the chance to reclaim their purchasing power with the new Jaja Vanta Purchase Credit Card.
Jaja is offering a four-months zero per cent interest period on all purchases from the date of account opening. The credit card is competitively priced at 34.9% representative APR with no annual fee and is available to apply for directly through Jaja’s website and the UK’s leading credit marketplace, ClearScore*.
Lucas Dalglish, Chief Commercial Officer, Jaja Finance said: “While the cost of borrowing has increased for everyone, near-prime borrowers are being hit the hardest, and there’s little being done to help them. We want to give these borrowers access to simple and good value credit while helping them improve their credit score.
“We’ve built the Jaja Vanta Purchase Credit Card with the near-prime borrower in mind and we’re confident that we can improve their purchasing power by giving them access to purchase offers and fair and simple credit, alongside great digital service, that they may not get elsewhere. We believe Jaja will become the go-to provider for near-prime customers.”
Following the success of Jaja’s partnership with Asda, for the Asda Money Credit Card and Asda Money Select Credit Card, the digital lender identified a gap in the market and as a result has created a range of products for those customers wishing to build their credit history, and for those customers finding it difficult to obtain credit elsewhere.
Jaja’s unique and innovative data sharing capabilities means the digital lender has an unparalleled insight into ‘knowing its customer’, and what matters to them most. The Jaja Vanta Purchase Credit Card is the next step in its ambitious growth plans to becoming the UK’s leading digital lender.
The credit builder card has been designed to suit the ever-changing needs of today’s consumer, offering a digital-first experience that is designed to make credit simple and help customers use their credit better, all supported by Jaja’s best-in-class technology.
New Jaja Vanta Purchase Credit Card customers will be able to stay in control of their spend by tagging transactions, managing repayments and receiving personalised notifications through their app – equipping customers with the best digital tools and know how to get the most out of their credit.
For those customers who are looking for a credit card for everyday spend at a lower APR (no purchase offer) Jaja also offers the Jaja Vanta Credit Card. Jaja Vanta Credit Card is only available through ClearScore, and APRs will depend on individual customer circumstances.
