Waiting list update
As a valued member of our waiting list, we wanted to give you an update on what’s been happening here at Jaja.
Last year we announced a new long-term partnership with Bank of Ireland UK and the purchase of its UK credit card portfolio (you can read the press release here). The purchase forms part of Jaja’s strategy to scale our UK credit card business by working in partnership with other financial institutions and consumer brands, as well as providing our own branded credit card.
In order to be able to complete the transfer of those customers over to Jaja, we have had to undertake a series of major investments and developments into our technology, end to end business operations, and our people. As part of that, one of the major decisions we have had to make is to pause inviting members of our waiting list to apply for our credit card whilst we complete this work, holding on until you can benefit from the services we are currently building.
Despite working through a period of highly unusual and unprecedented times, we’ve pulled together as a team and we’re really excited about the future. Later this year we will switch customers from the purchased portfolio over to Jaja, and shortly after begin opening new accounts on our new platform. We want one of those accounts to be you.
We are sorry to ask you to wait a little bit longer. However, we hope you understand our approach and remain as excited as we are for what’s to come in the future. For those on the waiting list, we will write to you on what you need to do to apply for a Jaja Credit Card after the migration of Post Office Credit Card customers’ whose accounts opened prior to 28 June 2019.
In the meantime, we have answered some of the questions you may have below. If you have any follow-up questions please get in touch at hello@jaja.co.uk.
How long do I have to wait?
As a member of our waiting list, we will keep you informed of progress and when you can expect Jaja to be available to you. We will first complete the migration before our inviting our waiting list, which is to ensure a simple process online and in the app for existing customers impacted by the migration.
Do I still have the option to be a Jaja Pioneer?
After making big steps forwards in developing our Pioneer product we have made the decision to close this phase as we are now on the runway to launch our new full product. After unprecedented demand to join the pioneer phase, we are sorry we could not accommodate everyone, but hope you remain as excited as we are for the full product launch.
I am already a Jaja Pioneer with a beta product, what does this mean for me?
Our Pioneers who have already been approved after receiving their invitation to Beta can keep using their existing card and app. And to avoid any doubt, we can move you to the new app later in the year.
I am not on the waiting list, how do I join?
