Make paying your bills simple with digital payments

There are a number of ways you can pay your credit card bill every month. Digital payments are a great choice. It’s automated, simple, and gives you the peace of mind knowing you’ll never miss a payment.

To set up digital payments, you’ll need to make sure you’re registered for the Jaja Credit Card app and online servicing. If you haven’t already, head over to our guide to learn how you can register and download the app.

Why switch to digital payments?

There are different types of digital payments, such as Direct Debit, Debit card and Bank Transfer payments.

Direct Debit

Direct Debit is a simple, safe and convenient way for you to make regular payments towards your credit card bill. When you set up a Direct Debit, payments are made automatically so you don’t have to manually enter the payment details every time; we’ll just collect an amount from your account depending on your preferences.

So if you’re on holiday or busy with work, you won’t have to worry about paying your bills on time and potentially missing any payments, giving you more time to focus on the things that matter.

Bank Transfer

Bank transfers are a great payment option if you don’t want to use Direct Debits. You can make payments instantly and they’re easy to set up via your bank. You can choose the exact amount you wish to send each time as well, making it a convenient choice.

Debit card

Debit card payments don’t offer the same automation as a Direct Debit but are just as simple and safe to use. Simply enter your debit card details in the app or online servicing, select an amount, and we’ll collect the money directly from your bank account. This gives you complete control over your bill and is a quick way to make direct payments from your bank account whenever you want.

Setting up a Direct Debit using the app

Step 1

Head to the Payments section

In the app, go to the Card tab and select Payments.

Step 2

Select Direct Debit

Select the Direct Debit option at the top of the page to begin setting up your Direct Debit.

Step 3

Enter your bank details

You’ll be asked to enter your bank details. Press Continue and enter your account holder name, sort code and account number.

Step 4

Confirm your details

Read the Direct Debit guarantee and check the box at the end to confirm that the bank account you are using for your Direct Debit is yours, before pressing Continue.

Step 5

Choose the amount you want to pay

Select Choose Direct Debit amount and you’ll see three different options to pick from:

  • Minimum payment
  • Last full statement balance
  • Fixed amount

If you choose Fixed amount, you’ll be asked to enter a custom amount. To learn more about the different amounts you can pay, tap Need help choosing an option?

Once you’ve made your choice, select Save changes to continue, and tap Finish on the next page to complete your Direct Debit setup.

Setting up a bank transfer

Step 1

Know your due date

Be sure to check your due date. You can find this on your monthly statement or in the app and online servicing by going to the Card tab and selecting Payments. If you’re making a payment on the same day, you’ll need to meet the deadline to avoid a late payment fee.

Step 2

Check the details

Double-check that you’re using the right payment details before confirming a bank transfer. This will ensure your money is being sent to the right place. If you’re making a payment towards your Jaja Credit Card bill, use these details:

Account Name (If asked): Jaja Finance Ltd
Sort code: 40-05-30
Jaja account number: 84603613
Payment reference: Your 16-digit Jaja Credit Card number beginning 461807

Your payment might get lost if your payment reference is incorrect. To avoid this, enter the number printed on your credit card without spaces or dashes. For example, your payment reference would be 4618071234567890.

You can also find your card details in the app by going to the Card tab and tapping your card at the top.

Step 3

Confirm the payment

Once you’ve double-checked the payment details, go ahead and select the amount you wish to pay and confirm the payment with your bank.

Setting up a debit card payment

Step 1

Head to the Payments section

In the app, go to the Card tab and select Payments.

Step 2

Select 'Make a payment'

Tap Make a payment at the bottom of the page.

Step 3

Choose the amount you want to pay

You’ll then have to choose an amount you would like to pay:

  • Current balance
  • Last full statement balance 
  • Minimum payment 

You can also select Other amount if you want to pay a custom amount.

Step 4

Add your debit card

Once you’ve entered how much you want to pay, press Add a new debit card. On the next page, enter the details of the debit card that you would like to pay with, and press Submit.

If you’ve already added the debit card you’d like to use, you can skip this section.

Step 5

Confirming your payment

Select the debit card that you would like to pay with at the bottom of the page and press Continue. Confirm the details of your payment method by pressing Continue again and then enter the CVV of your chosen debit card on the next page. When you’re ready, press Submit to complete your payment.
